Bernards uses precast concrete structures and prefabricated SmartWall Systems® at the One Santa Fe project to reach 40% completion on building "B/C". One Santa Fe is a mixed-use development which runs 1,650 linear feet; building "A" is 850 feet long, while building "B" is 800 feet in length. Architect Michael Maltzan has designed this project to mimic the train yard and make a visual connection to the aesthetics of the downtown Los Angeles Arts District. Bernards is currently one of the most prominent multi-family builders in Southern California. According to Marcus and Millichap, approximately 8,100 new apartment units will be completed in 2013 in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Bernards is building approximately one-third of those.
Last week, our team decided to kick-off our first Skate Everything Project challenge of 2016 at one of our favorite annual events, Ditch SLAP, in Albuquerque New Mexico. The concept of our Skate Everything Project events are to inspire and promote skaters thinking outside of the box, get them trying new moves and styles of riding, give them some $$, as well as promote a universal and open vibe within skateboarding culture. With the help of our team riders William Royce, Josh Dunn—and SLAP organizer Joe Lehm too—we came up with a fun list of tasks for the registers Ditch SLAP event skaters to do, of which, the participants had to film one of their team members doing the tasks, post them to Instagram, and tag and add the appropriate hashtags. Santa Fe is commissioning it Summit Silver-Gold Mine Operation, in anticipation of full commercial production in the third calendar quarter of 2011. The Summit Mine near Duncan, Arizona has good potential to expand resources, and there is good potential to expand capacity of the facility in Lordsburg, New Mexico. Presently, Santa Fe is crushing ore from the Summit Mine to size for sale locally as smelter flux, or for its flotation mill to produce concentrate for sale globally.
